When memory starts to fail due to Alzheimer's or dementia, our loved ones begin to lose their independence. Having to rely on others to remember schedules, appointments, and important dates takes away from self worth. Nobody wants to feel like a burden. Often these people live alone or in Assisted Living facilities. InformaBoard was conceived as a small way to help people and their families provide reminders and connections to help manage the world around them.

With InformaBoard, all of this basic information is in the very same place all of the time. No printed schedules, note papers, or calendars to misplace. InformaBoard is a dedicated display that shows all of the important information for the day. For the home user this includes the details of the day, appointments, and photos. Visual and audio reminders are available. Designated people manage appointments and schedules on-line using a full-featured calendar. Family and friends can send messages and upload pictures from their mobile devices and computers.

The Alzheimer's Association estimates there are 5.2 million people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias in the United States alone. Over 1 million people live in assisted living facilities. When InformaBoard is used in a residential facility, administrators have the additional functionality of being able to post activities and menus, and send messages to groups of people.
